KEY FRAMES
this project is an exploration of the forms and shapes of animation movement; rendered as a set of three sculptures which represent key frames of one single motion (a skater’s fall), with particular observance of the peculiarities of animation movement; such as smears, deformations, in-betweenings and speed lines. the main focus is on the transition from a moving image that usually exists solely on a flat plane with one point of view – to a physical 3D object that must remain credible and sustainable in the real world.
